Sorted Stuff ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

Sorted Stuff allows you to store the following information locally on your device:

  • Item names, descriptions, and categories you enter
  • Optional GPS location coordinates and addresses for your items
  • Photos you take or select from your library
  • Shopping lists and to-do items you create
  • Quick notes you create (titles and content)
  • App settings and preferences (theme, language)

2. How We Store Your Data

All data is stored locally on your device. We do not have servers, cloud storage, or any external database where your information is uploaded or stored.

Your data remains entirely on your device and under your control. We cannot access, view, or retrieve any of your information.

3. How We Use Your Data

The information you enter into Sorted Stuff is used solely to provide the app's functionality:

  • Display your items and lists within the app
  • Search and filter your stored information
  • Customize the app appearance based on your preferences
  • Create shareable files when you choose to export items or lists to other app users
  • Generate backups when you choose to back up your data

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties. Since all data is stored locally on your device, there is no transmission of your information to external servers or services.

The app does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising services that would collect or transmit your information.

User-Initiated Sharing

You can choose to share individual items or lists with other Sorted Stuff users by exporting them as files. When you share:

  • You control what gets shared - only the specific item or list you select
  • Sharing happens through your device's standard sharing methods (email, messages, file sharing, etc.)
  • The exported file contains the item/list data and associated photos
  • We do not facilitate, monitor, or have any access to your sharing activities
  • The recipient must have Sorted Stuff installed to import the shared data

5. Permissions We Request

Sorted Stuff may request the following permissions to provide its features:

Camera Access

Used to take photos of your items. Photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.

Photo Library Access

Used to select existing photos from your device to attach to items. We only access photos you explicitly choose.

Location Access

Used optionally to save the GPS coordinates and address where an item is located. Location data is only captured when you explicitly tap the "Add GPS Location" button for an item. Location information is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any servers or third parties. You can view saved locations on a map or open them in your preferred maps app.

Internet Access

Used solely for in-app purchases through the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). The app connects to Google Play or Apple's servers to process premium upgrade purchases. No personal data or app content is transmitted over the internet. The app functions fully offline for all other features.

You can manage these permissions at any time through your device settings. Denying permissions will limit certain features but will not affect the core functionality of tracking your items.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it within the app or uninstall the application.

When you uninstall Sorted Stuff, all your data stored by the app is removed from your device according to your operating system's standard uninstallation process.

7. Children's Privacy

Sorted Stuff does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since all data is stored locally and we have no servers or online services, the app is safe for users of all ages.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
